GREENLIGHT #66: Little Miss Sunshine (with "Down and Out in Beverly Hills" and "The Little Foxes")

Ann and Les were equally and joyously thrilled with Little Miss Sunshine (2006.) It’s a movie about a dysfunctional family and they think you’ll smile your way through the whole thing. They think every performance was top-notch but want to give an extra nod to the charming Little Miss Sunshine herself, Abigail Breslin. It also excites them because it’s an independent film directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Feris. They're a duo they don’t know of but are looking forward to hearing more from. For their GREENLIGHT Rentals, Les recommends another feel-good movie about a dysfunctional family called Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986) starring Bette Midler, Richard Dreyfuss, and Nick Nolte in , perhaps, his only comedic role. Ann goes much further back in time to a film about a much crueler dysfunctional family (but still very enjoyable to watch) directed by the great William Wyler, starring the great Bette Davis and called The Little Foxes(1941.)
