GREENLIGHT #62: Miami Vice (with "Lethal Weapon" and "The Insider")

Ann and Les were quite surprised by Miami Vice (2006.) Both were quite worried that they were going to have to sit through two hours of cheesy 1980s pastel clothes and people too-hip-for-words. Instead they saw an intriguing dark gritty drama lead by another surprise Colin Farrell. The only flaw in the movie was there was not enough of Jamie Fox in it. But, as you'll learn in this podcast, that was more Mr. Fox's doing than the choice of the talented director Michael Mann. Our reviewers were also quite impressed with the Chinese actress Li Gong who spoke both English and Spanish quite well. For GREENLIGHT Rentals, Les recommends another good, perhaps great he might say, cop-buddie movie called Lethal Weapon (1987) starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover . Ann sticks with the work of Mr. Mann and recommends Russell Crowe inThe Insider (1999.)
