GREENLIGHT #38: Take the Lead (with "Dirty Dancing" and "Saturday Night Fever")

Ann and Les wanted to enjoy Take the Lead (2006) more than they did. It's a formula movie about a dance teacher who does good with problem school kids. Both gave it a yellow - it you like these kind of movies, they don't discourage you from this one. But if you're really looking for good "dance as a metaphor movies," then you can't go wrong with two of the best: Dirty Dancing (1987) and Saturday Night Fever (1977.)

I'm looking forward to Take the Lead as something fresh, kind of like Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights was. Nothing can beat the original Dirty Dancing, however. That was a classic.
